The greatest challenge and aid to deepen our writing is to further our journey into self. It is only when we begin to know us on the deepest of levels that we truly begin to understand the human condition.
Know yourself. Don't accept your dog's admiration as conclusive evidence that you are wonderful.
We have been given the writing gift. If we choose to use the gift we are blessed. If we continue to use the gift a fire ignites within us to do amazing things with our writing. The key is to constantly feed the fire with our desire.
If you care enough for a result, you will most certainly attain it.
Insightful living is something that takes practice. As we explore our craft we learn to trust our own writing instincts. When we struggle with character or story we learn to step back and look at the bigger picture. It is often during these times that we have access to our greatest insights.
A moment's insight is sometimes worth a life's experience. --Oliver Wendell Holmes
